Since egg whites comes animals like hens, it’s not suitable for vegans.

Questionable Ingredients

Sugar is a controversial ingredient within the vegan community, because there is an instance where sugar could be classified as non-vegan. The most common sugars used are beet sugar and cane sugar. Raw cane sugar and beet sugar is always vegan, but the cane sugar is often refined before used in many foods.

In the refining process the sugar is also bleached and a common method is to use bone char from dead cows. Exploiting animals in the production process would technically make that product non-vegan.

The reason I mention corn is because it’s one of the most common GMO crops in USA. GMO crops requires a high amount of herbicide in order for the crops to grow. The herbicide can pollute the surrounding environment causing severe damage to the ecosystem.

Unfortunately Wilton Meringue Powder contains eggs and is not suitable for vegans. It’s an egg replacement in baking, but it’s not the same as no egg replacement, which is something else. Vegans have many tricks when it comes to baking and the internet is full with recipes.

Thanks for reading, take care!
